OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2012. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) established signs of violating the antimonopoly law by Edwards Lifesciencies S.A. For instance, the company imposed disadvantageous conditions of an additional agreement to an international distribution agreement with “MK YUNIKS” Ltd. Such actions can violate Clause 3 Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”. Also Edwards Lifesciencies S.A. unreasonably avoided concluding a direct distribution agreement with “Green Medica” Ltd., which can be in breach of Clause 5 Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Based on Article 39.1 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”, FAS issued a warning to Edwards Lifesciencies S.A. to stop the above actions (omissions).

“MK YUNIKS” Ltd. and “Green Medica” Ltd. petitioned to FAS Russia that Edwards Lifesciencies S.A. violated the norms of the antimonopoly law.

The warning must be executed by16th July 2012.

If the company fails to execute the warning within the designated period, FAS shall automatically initiate the procedure for initiating a case against Edwards Lifesciencies S.A. upon the signs of violating the antimonopoly law.
