OREANDA-NEWS. July 05, 2012. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, 74.6% of all exported wines and cognacs were imported by three CIS states, namely Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.

The Russia was the leading consumer of wines and cognacs from Moldova in January-March, 2012. Its share made 38% in a total amount of alcohol export of Moldova within that period. The export of Moldovan wines to Russia increased 1.8 times to USD 14.66 mln.

The supplies declined 20.3% to USD 7,82 mln. to Belarus and 23.7% to USD 6.28 mln. to Ukraine. The export to Poland decreased 1.1% to USD 1.78 mln. At the same time, in Q1, 2012 the export of wines and cognacs from Moldova grew 1,5 times to USD 1.71 mln. to the USA and 13.5 times to USD 1,08 mln. to Georgia.

Within the first three months of 2012 Moldova exported 19% less wines and cognacs to Czech Republic at a sum of USD 0.98 mln.; 25.7% less wines to Germany at a sum of USD 0.75 mln, and 7.45 less alcohol products to Romania at a sum of USD 0.63 mln.

At the same time, in Q1, 2012 the export of wines and cognacs from Moldova grew 7% to USD 0.46 mln to Kazakhstan; 80% to USD 0.36 mln. to China; 10,7 times to USD 0.32 mln. to Nigeria and 3.3% to USD 0.31 mln.to Kyrgyzstan.
