OREANDA-NEWS. July 06, 2012. The anniversary date of the 7th China Cultural Heritage Day, the Launching Ceremony of "China Cultural Heritage Day" Main Venue Activities in Guizhou Province was successfully held in the Museum of Guizhou Province, reported the press-centre of ABC. 

These activities were supported by the Agricultural Bank of China Limited(ABC), and co-organized by Department of Culture of Guizhou Province, Cultural Heritage Bureau of Guizhou Province, Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center of Guizhou Province, and YouChange China Social Entrepreneur Foundation.

As a co-organizer and an honored guest, ABC awarded the plaque "Rural Cultural Landscape Protection Demonstration Villages" to the non-profit "Support Program of Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance" for its outstanding protection demonstration projects of intangible cultural heritage in Guizhou Province, ABC affirmed its continuing intention to contribute to the cultural prosperity and development of ethnic minorities by protecting cultural heritage communities such as Kongbai Village of Leishan County and by supporting the arts of intangible cultural heritage such as traditional silver ornaments, wax printing, Miao embroidery, and similar arts and crafts  ABC's continuing participation and support will also include providing volunteer services and other unique kinds of non-profit support as the need arises.

This event is a great way to revitalize and publicize the diversity of Chinese culture, highlight the cultural heritage conservation achievements of Guizhou Province, and improve people's awareness of cultural heritage protection.

ABC's particpation also serves as a role model to motivate the public to actively participate in cultural heritage protection, thus enhancing national unity and cohesion, and creating new opportunities for cultural heritage protection.

In recent years, ABC has been strengthening its financial support to the traditional and the creative culture industry. In 2011, 37 tier-one branches of ABC established cooperative relations with local cultural departments (bureaus).

To date, 15 branches have signed a Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement (an intentional credit facilities agreement) with local departments of culture or have provided them with financial service solutions. By the end of March 2012, ABC's outstanding loans to the traditional and creative cultural industry reached a combined total of RMB50.4 billion.
