OREANDA-NEWS. July 09, 2012. Stats-Secretary Andrey Tsarikovsky, Deputy Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) had a meeting with the First Deputy Governor of the Magadan region, Nikolai Karpenko, and Magadan Major, Vladimir Pechen, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The meetings were organized as part of the workshop of Dalnevostochny Federal District focused on discussing the antimonopoly law and the Law “On Procurement by Certain Types of Legal Persons…”

The parties discussed the latest changes in the competition law and the law on state procurement.

Andrey Tsarikovsky talked about amendments to the law - the so-called “third antimonopoly package”, the main objectives of which are reducing administrative barriers for business and increasing transparency of FAS work.

“Such meetings facilitate development of an effective basis for suppressing violations on the markets, help achieve enforcement uniformity and strengthen relationships between federal and municipal authorities”, summed up the meeting Andrey Tsarikovsky.

Nikolai Karpenko pointed out that efforts of the Antimonopoly Service were very noticeable on Kolyma and made tangible contribution to the regional economy, although many disputes and questions had to be resolved at courts. He expressed hope that FAS work would serve as a head-start for cooperation between the Magadan region and all federal agencies.
