OREANDA-NEWS. July 19, 2012. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) exposed violations in actions of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. The Ministry unlawfully refused to include “Nizhny Novgorod Research Institute of Hygiene and Professional Pathology” Federal State-Funded Research Institution and “Zabaikalie Standardization and Metrology Centre” Federal State-Funded Institution in the Register of certified organizations that provided labour security services. Such actions constitute a violation of Part 1 Article 15 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Earlier the FAS Commission initiated a case against the Ministry of Health Care and Social Development, which by a Presidential decree was transformed into the Ministry of Health Care and the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. The latter is assigned the functions for devising and implementing national policy and regulations over labor conditions and security.

Having investigated the case, FAS issued a determination to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security to stop violating the antimonopoly law.

FAS repeatedly recognized such violations in the actions of the Ministry of Health Care and Social Development.

Currently FAS is taking steps to hold officials of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security administratively liable for violating the antimonopoly law.
