OREANDA-NEWS. July 26, 2012. SOLLERS Group was recognized as the best company of the year, which made the most weighty contribution to the IT-branch. The Company’s CIO Evgeny Sudarkin became the "IT-LEADER -2012” Award winner in the field of “Car manufacturing”.

The tenth, anniversary awarding ceremony of the winners of the national Award “IT-LEADER” took place in Moscow on the 24th of April.

IT projects make an important part of SOLLERS corporate business strategy. They are extensively used as a modern means of business efficiency increase. Thanks to success in IT the Company’s enterprises improve the interaction efficiency, obtaining a full informational support for decision making.

On tight schedule Evgeny Sudarkin, CIO of SOLLERS JSC, managed to arrange an efficient collaboration of the Company’s functional departments and IT specialists. The result is a number of successfully implemented significant projects. In 2011 the corporate electronic documentary interchange system and Electronic Commercial Data Interchange (EDI) were integrated in the Company. For efficient operation of the sales management system a “Warranty service” module is put into operation and a “pilot project” for automation of activity of dealer outlets (DMS) is being implemented. At UAZ: a number of new functional modules were added to a complex enterprise management system made on the platform “1C”; all modules are built according to the same technique. It is planned to replicate the modules to other enterprises of the Group. Implementation of the Engineering data management system (PDM) is completed.

The organizers of "IT-LEADER - 2012" award especially honored SOLLERS project, which allowed building of a management information in a short time and control system for a newly established production site SOLLERS-Dalniy on the basis of a corporate special-purpose IT-landscape.

It should be noted that in the process of applicants’ selection the award organizers considered all Russian enterprises engaged into car industry. But only the companies which had implemented in the opinion of the expert jury the most significant and biggest projects got into the final: they are SOLLERS, AVTOTOR and KAMAZ. While choosing the winner the jury estimated not only improvement of companies’ operational efficiency but also their contribution to IT development on the whole. The main selection criteria of the winner were: the scale (including the geography) of IT-projects, implemented at enterprises, their social and economical importance, innovativeness and a degree of complexity of IT-decisions, authority of the company’s CIO and IT-director in IT-community, ability to improve business stability using IT technologies.
