OREANDA-NEWS. July 26, 2012. ARMADA JSC  (MICEX-RTS: ARMD) announces that the project for the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Russian Interior Ministry has been declared the winner in the category of "the best public service provided to citizens using the system of online inter-agency cooperation" at the competition entitled "Top 10 IT Projects for the Public Sector 2012" [1]. ARMADA has performed the project in cooperation with Rosbi Inform Co.

The project nominated for competition was the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate’s online service for the registration of vehicles [2]. In Russia vehicles must be registered with the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate if a new vehicle is purchased, if a used car changes ownership, and in a number of other cases. In 2011 only new cars’ sales in Russia exceeded 2.6m passenger and light commercial vehicles [2].

A part of the project was an electronic communications system among over 3,800 units of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, and other agencies and organizations involved in the provision of the electronic service (the Federal Customs Service, the State Registration Chamber, the Federal Tax Service, etc.). This solution is the framework for other popular services provided by the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate in online format, for instance technical inspection of cars, which is also being implemented by ARMADA for the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate.
