OREANDA-NEWS. August 17, 2012. The international raitng Agency Standard & Poor’s (hereinafter referred to as the Agency), acknowledged the long-term credit rating of the Company at BBB level. The ratings of corresponding issues of eurobons are also acknowleged at BBB level. The forecast on the ratings – “Stable”.

According to the Agency's analysts, the confirmation of TRANSNEFT JSC’s rating reflects an “especially high” probability of receiving by the Company of a timely and sufficient Governmental support in such a stressful financial situation. Moreover, the Agency emphasizes a unique monopolistic place of the Company, which realizes transportation of more than 90 per cent of oil produced in Russia, and also the stable financial indexes of its current activities, as well as the sufficient level of liquidity and traditionally balanced financial management.

The BBB rating is of highest possibility for Russian emitters and it corresponds to the sovereign rating of the Russian Federation. Being a part of the investment category of credit ratings, it confirms that the Company “to a sufficient extent is able to fulfill its financial duties”.
