OREANDA-NEWS. August 31, 2012. As part of the first official visit to Russia the President of Vietnam Truong Tan Sang together with the executives of "Zarubezhneft" and "Petrovietnam" Nikolay Brunich and Phung Dinh Thuc, governor of the Nenets Autonomous Region Igor Fedorov and the representatives of the ministries and agencies of the two countries visited fields in Nenets Autonomous Region, being developed by joint Russian-Vietnamese company "Rusvietpetro", where he acquainted himself with the progress of the project implementation and took part in the official ceremony of putting the third of thirteen fields of the Central Khoreyver Uplift – West-Khosedayuskoe into commercial operation.

Having arrived in Naryan-Mar, President of Vietnam and the Russian-Vietnamese delegation committed a helicopter flyby of the JV "RUSVIETPETRO" fields. After this, in the control room of the North-Khosedayuskoe field with the use of the telebridge, which connected North and West Khosedayu, President of Vietnam, Deputy Minister of Energy Yuriy Sentyurin, executives of "Zarubezhneft" and "Petrovietnam" and governor of NAR Igor Fedorov pressed symbolic push-button and launched the production of the commercial oil at the new field. Also from the Russian side – Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in SRV Andrey Kovtun, executives of the JV "RUSVIETPETRO" Viktor Abmaev and Cao My Loi, from the Vietnamese side – Deputy Prime Minister of SRV Hoang Trung Hai, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of SRV in RF Pham Xuan Son, Deputy Foreign Minister of SRV Bui Thanh Son, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of SRV Tran Quoc Khanh took part in the ceremony of the putting into operation.

After honored guests have visited production facilities of JV "RUSVIETPETRO", the official ceremony of putting the field into operation and awarding the best employees took place.

President of SRV Truong Tan Sang addressed to the audience with the welcome speech. He noticed, that today due to the assistance of the Soviet Union Vietnam ranks third in oil production in South-East Asia. "Russian and Vietnamese oil workers successfully work in Vietnam and Russia, - said Truong Tan Sang, - and they have further plans to work in third countries".

President of SRV highly estimated the work of the oil workers of JV "RUSVIETPETRO", who overcoming difficulties and despite severe conditions of High North, achieve advanced results in their activity. He emphasized, that joint projects of "Zarubezhneft" and "Petrovietnam" are the real example and bright symbol of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and Vietnam.

President of Vietnam awarded state decorations of his country – "Order of Labor" of 3rd class – to the General Director of "RUSVIETPETRO" Viktor Abmaev and to his first Deputy Kao My Loi. Company "RUSVIETPETRO" was also awarded the Vietnamese "Order of Labor" of 3rd class – "for the conspicuous achievements in search, exploration and exploitation of the fields ahead of the schedule, for the contribution to providing energy security and strengthening solidarity between Vietnam and Russia".

Speaking to the audience, governor of NAR Igor Fedorov, in his turn, also highly estimated the work of JV "RUSVIETPETRO" and noticed, that company shows best results among oil companies of the region. He thanked executives and employees of the companies for their work and contribution to the social and economical development of the region and presented Certificates of Merit to the Deputy General Director of "RUSVIETPETRO" Alexander Barashkin and Director of the branch of the JV "RUSVIETPETRO" Aleksey Krohin.

General Director of JSC "Zarubezhneft" Nikolay Brunich mentioned in his speech, that "special attention of the government of Vietnam to this project obligate us to be more responsible while implementing it". "But I hope, that after visiting our facilities and taking a look at our work today, Vietnamese management was made sure, that investment of the state companies "Zarubezhneft" and "Petrovietnam" is used for the purpose intended and very diligently", - he added.

Nikolay Brunich also expressed his appreciation to the management of the Nenets Autonomous Region for support and assistance in implementing the projects on the territory of NAR and wished oil workers new achievements and new discoveries.

Festive event continued in Naryan-Mar, where honorable guests took part in the briefing. While answering the questions, President of Vietnam said, that there are possibilities for developing cooperation between Russian and Vietnamese oil workers not only in the Nenets Autonomous Region, but also in other regions of Russia. He also mentioned, that putting the third field of "RUSVIETPETRO" into operation gives confidence in further cooperation between two countries.
