OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2012. Valdis Dombrovskis, Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia, is visiting Brussels in order to participate in Bruegel, a Brussels-based think-tank on economic policy issues. The Latvian Prime Minister will deliver a speech on the recovery and growth of the national economy after the crisis.

The speech will be delivered in panel discussion “Can competitiveness be recouped? Can growth resume?”. The Prime Minister will outline his vision regarding the lines of development of the European economic and fiscal policies in the near future.
 
Further, the discussion on development of the European countries, recovery of their competitiveness and promotion of growth will be continued in panel discussions “Can Banking union rescue European financial integration?” and “Global governance: are we stuck?”

This annual meeting gathers distinguished economy experts and researchers from various countries, including Pierre Moscovici, France’s Minister for Finance, Jorg Asmussen, Member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank, Andrea Enria, Chairman of the European Banking Authority, Martin Hellwig, Director of the Max Planck Institute, and other experts.
