OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2012. The Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank appointed Deputy Governor Madis Muller a member of the Supervisory Board of the Financial Supervision Authority on the proposal of Governor of Eesti Pank, reported the press-centre of Eesti Pank. 

Madis Muller's mandate as a member of the Supervisory Board of the Financial Supervision Authority starts on 20 October, when the mandate of the previous Deputy Governor Rein Minka expires.

The Supervisory Board was introduced the regular internal audit's external assessment report, which concluded that the internal audit function at Eesti Pank is generally in line with the standards and ethical rules of the Institute of Internal Auditors. In addition, the Supervisory Board examined the first half-year report of the Internal Audit Department.

Executive Board members provided an overview of the euro area economic and financial sector and of the financial risks of Eesti Pank.

Jaan Mannik, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, spoke about the visit of the Supervisory Board of the Bank of Sweden to Estonia on 2 October.

The next regular meeting of the Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank will be held on 9 October.
