OREANDA-NEWS. September 21, 2012. NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) announced today that its "050 plus" VoIP app for smartphones now allows subscribers to share photos with other 050 plus subscribers during VoIP mobile calls.

The new feature, called Photo talk, makes communication richer, easier and more fun by enabling people to share photos as they speak. Photos can be taken and shared during a call, or retrieved from the sender’s phone, using the phone’s default camera and gallery. Sharing is possible even during dialing. Photos also can be edited with text during a call. After sharing, the photo is automatically saved on both persons’ smartphones.

NTT Com expects users to discover many creative uses for this handy new feature, such as:
Inviting friends to a party or karaoke session
Confirming a meeting place
Showing someone what to buy at a store
Updating one’s status to parents ... and much more.

Photo talk is available with 050 plus 3.1.0 or later. Updates are possible via Google Play for Android phones and App Store for iOS phones.

There is no charge to add the Photo talk feature, and 050 plus subscribers can call each other for free. The monthly charge for the 050 plus app is 315 yen.
