OREANDA-NEWS. November 2, 2012. In Delhi the 17th meeting of the Russian-Indian working group on cooperation in the field of energy and energy efficiency under the chairmanship of the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Yuri Sentyurin and the Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas of the Republic of India Sanjay Sudhir was held. The Head of the Department of JSC “Zarubezhneft” Stanislav Mikhailov took part in the meeting. The Indian side was represented by the management of the Ministry of Oil and Natural Gas, General Department of hydrocarbons, top managers of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC), ONGC VIDESH Ltd., Oil India Ltd., Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd., Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.

During the meeting representatives discussed the possible ways of cooperation between JSC “Zarubezhneft” and Indian state companies ONGC and Oil India Ltd.

In the end of 2011, “Zarubezhneft” resumed its operations in India, having signed with the Assam Asset of ONGC two contracts: for supply of chemical reagents, compounds and materials produced in Russia and for providing enhanced oil recovery services on the field Lakva with use of Russian technology. At the beginning of September 2012, the company launched this project. After confirmation of the efficiency of using Russian technology and chemical reagents for enhancing oil recovery on the Indian fields “Zarubezhneft” hopes to continue cooperation both with ONGC and the other Indian state company - Oil India Limited – in the field of implementation joint projects in Assam and other states of India.
