OREANDA-NEWS. November 6, 2012. Izhorskiye Zavody, part OMZ Group, successfully complete production of another hydrocracking reactor for Tuapse refinery (Rosneft).

The equipment is the 6th reactor produced for Tuapse refinery in frames of the contract concluded in 2010. In August 2012 Izhorskiye Zavody has made a unique operation to transport three vessels, each was unique in its dimensions and weights. The reactor is similar to the one already delivered to Tuapse. It is 40 meters high, has a diameter of more than 5 meters and weighs about 1,400 tons. The vessel with such dimensions and weights was produced in Russia for the first time ever.

Hydrocracking reactors for Tuapse refinery is the innovative equipment designed for deep processing of oil and production of high-quality Euro-5 fuel.

Production of vessels is performed in accordance with the requirements of ASME Code and Russian regulatory documents for petrochemical production equipment. Licensor of the project is Chevron Lummus Global (USA) - one of the world's largest energy companies. Development of working and design documentation was carried out by Izhorskie Zavody.

Tuapse refinery, located in Krasnodar region, enters Russia’s largest oil company Rosneft. Currently, the plant is under fundamental reconstruction,as a result of which the plant's capacity will increase from the current 5 million tons per year to 12 million tons per year, while the depth of processing will exceed 95%.
