OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2012. Investors Day was held at SKOLKOVO business school on December 19. A total of 13 projects of the SKOLKOVO MBA and SKOLKOVO Startup Academy students were presented to the investors panel, Vladimir Kovalsky’s Medesk project was named the winner.

The jury consisted of experienced and successful investors and business angels: Vitaly Polekhin, Head of the SKOLKOVO business school Investors Club, Kirill Veselov, Director at Mint Capital Investment, Andrei Vakulenko, Director at Sberbank CIB Venture Fund, Kendrick White, Managing Principal at Marchmont Capital Partners, Dmitry Agarunov, CEO at Gameland, Lyubov Simonova, Pre-partner at Almaz Capital Partners, Nikolay Dmitriev, Investment Director at Prostor Capital, Alexander Antonyuk, Vice-President at Foresight Capital Partners, Dmitry Bergelson, Vice-President at Nanoprom, Yuri Rabinovich, CEO at StartupMonthly, and others.

Each project representatives had three minutes for a pitch and after that they answered experts’ questions. The formers were selecting projects that are the most promising for potential investments and future development.

After the performances the voting was held to choose the strongest presentations. The project Medesk of Vladimir Kovalsky, SKOLKOVO Startup Academy student, was named the winner. This is a cloud medical information system that provides remote diagnostics for inhabitants of remote areas. Alexander Smbatyan and his project of online lending vsevcredit.ru captured the second place. And Ranjeev Rajan, third SKOLKOVO MBA class student, was the third with his startup Fitting Lab that represents convenient service for online shopping clients.

Apart from that the participants presented their startups from IT field, geological exploration, food industry, construction, social sphere and tourism.
