ICBC took home the "Excellent Practice Award for 2012 Corporate Social Responsibility Ranking in China" at the Chinese Business News "2012 CBN The Corporate Social Responsibility Ranking in China" held earlier under the theme of "Socially Responsible Companies", reported the press-centre of ICBC. 

This year's survey lasted for six months. The objective is to evaluate objectively the situation of Chinese enterprises to fulfill their corporate social responsibility (CSR) and summarize their result and experience with an aim to let companies and public to be aware of corporate social responsibility and develop a greater focus on corporate social responsibility in China. The selection, based on a professional, authoritative, unique scorecard from different dimensions (business model, harmonious relationship, concern to employees, environmental responsibility, social charity and economic responsibility) included questionnaire survey, interview with companies, judges' review and news observation. Of the nominated companies, the winner is credited for its integrated approach in social responsibility aligned with excellent social practice.

While moving forward, ICBC places importance on the lawful rights of stakeholders and responsibility for social contribution. As a good corporate citizen, ICBC strives to beef up its image by driving in tandem the value of the Bank, return to shareholders and benefits for customers and employees.
