OREANDA-NEWS. January 22, 2013. Bilateral trade of Moldova, Transdniestria included, with RF made up USD 1 bln. 821.6 mln. in January-November, 2012, 6.4% up as compared with the same period of 2011. According to the RF Federal Customs Service, Moldova exported to Russia goods at a sum of USD 423 mln., 2% up as compared with the same period of 2011, whereas Russia exported goods to Moldova at a sum of USD 1 bln. 398.6 mln, 7.8% up.

The negative trade balance of Moldova with Russia made up USD 975.6 mln. in January-November, 2012, 10.5% up as compared with the same period of 2011, the Russian body informs. Following January-November, 2012, a share of Moldova in a total volume of the turnover of RF was 0.2%, being equal to that of the same period of 2011.

As FCS RF informs, bilateral trade between Russian and Moldova grew 27.7% to USD 1 bln. 952.2 mln. in 2011 as compared with 2010; the export from Russia to Moldova increasing 33.9% to USD 1 bln. 483.6 mln., the import from Moldova to Russia growing 11.3% to USD 468.6 mln. The volume of the bilateral trade grew because of bigger amounts of gas deliveries to Moldova and their higher price, and due to bigger amounts of metals and metal work exported from Moldova.

In 2011 Russia chiefly exported to Moldova mineral row materials (75.1%), foodstuffs and agricultural products (7.8%), chemicals (5.4%), and machines, equipments and vehicles (5%). Moldova exported to Russia foodstuffs and agricultural feedstock (50.1%), metals and metal work (23.3%), machines, equipments and vehicles (10.2%), textile and knitted wear (9.7%). The structure of goods turned over between RF and the right- and the left -bank- parts of Moldova differs.

In bilateral trade with Transdniestria industrial goods are dominant, whereas in the trade with Moldova agricultural products prevail. The share of Trandsniestria in the bilateral trade of RF and Moldova makes about 46%.
