OREANDA-NEWS. January 29, 2013. The First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Anatoliy Maksiuta held a working meeting with a team of specialists of the World Bank to discuss the development of private sector of Ukraine.

The parties have considered the current state of business environment in Ukraine and key tasks in the area of development of the private sector.

In the course of talks the First Deputy Minister briefed about the state of social-economic development and macroeconomic forecast for Ukraine, and also about priority tasks along the directions of stimulating economic activity.

During the meeting the sides also touched issues of preparation of a system project for receiving WB loan “The second program loan for rehabilitation of financial sector”, confirmed joint intentions to stir up the process of preparation of the mentioned project and debated further actions. 

Besides, the interlocutors held a discussion concerning improvement of conditions for making business in Ukraine. In particular, according to the Doing Business-2013 rating Ukraine rose 15 steps up in comparison with the previous year, from the 152 to 137 place, and found itself among the three countries-leaders which demonstrated the most effective economic reforms concerning improvement of conditions of making business, taking first place in the region of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

In this view the Ukrainian party and specialists of the World Bank exchanged the thoughts about practical steps necessary for further improvement of showings of Ukraine in “Making Business” rating in 2013.
