OREANDA-NEWS. April 23, 2013. This year the Government plans to purchase 400 transport vehicles along the School Bus program.

This was announced by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov in the Parliament during An Hour of Questions to the Government.

“For 2010-2012 there were purchased 1579 buses – it amounts two thirds of all buses bought for the time of realization of the program. In 2013 we plan to purchase and supply to the schools over 400 buses,” the head of Government said.

He reminded that the School Bus program had been initiated in 2004 by that time’s Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych.

At this, Mykola Azarov emphasized that in 2008 there had been purchased 246 buses, in 2009 – only 100 at the account of a loan of the World Bank.

The Premier reminded that over recent three years in Ukraine there had been put in exploitation 74 new modern schools, overhauled 6400 comprehensive educational institutions.
