OREANDA-NEWS. The state-owned Belarusian company OJSC Belaruskali says its potash fertilizer exports grew 21.2% in the first quarter of 2013 to 1.5 million tonnes to compare with 1.238 million tonnes in Q1 2012.

At the same time export proceeds totalled USD 554.1 million to compare with USD 553.2 million in Q1 2012.

The state-owned Belarusian company OJSC Belaruskali is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of potash fertilizers, employing about 18,440 personnel. It operates the Starobinskoye potash salts deposit and comprises four mine groups, auxiliary shops and support units.

Belaruskali controls 16% of the world’s potash fertilizer market.
