OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2013. Amendments to the “Law on Trading”and the Code on Administrative Violations will enable the most efficient enforcement and hold violators liable. The statement was made by the Deputy Head of the Department for Social Sphere and Trade of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) Ekaterina Uryukina at the plenary session of the XX International Summit “Trade in Russia”, at the Chamber of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation.

Owners of retain trading companies, investment funds and banks, representatives of the authorities, experts and industry analysts took part in the Summit.

Ekaterina Uryukina informed participants about the FAS efforts undertaken in the past year in the field of trading, the results of inspections and judicial proceedings, and amendments to the law on regulating trading activities, drafted by FAS. Ekaterina Uryukina also expressed hope that the proposed amendments would be considered by MPs during the autumn session.

“Amendments to No.381-FZ will help to clearly determine the industry rules, the criteria of interaction between suppliers and trading networks, and the norms of liability for breaching the rules”, summed up her presentation the Deputy Head of FAS Department for Social Sphere and Trade, Ekaterina Uryukina.
