OREANDA-NEWS. May 30, 2013. The Government has approved a draft Protocol between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Government of the Russian Federation on the supply of goods as part of industrial cooperation in 2013. Minister of Economic Development and Trade Ihor Prasolov was commissioned to sign the document.

The Protocol was prepared targeting implementation of a respective Agreement between the Governments of the two states on industrial cooperation of April 24, 1998. In particular, it is envisaged that profile ministries of the two countries determine nomenclature of goods which are supplied as part of industrial cooperation by economy subjects of Ukraine and the Russian Federation in 2013, volumes of supplies and a list of the mentioned economy subjects.

The supplies in the framework of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine the Government of the Russian Federation on industrial cooperation will give chance to develop mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukrainian and Russian enterprises, give an opportunity to preserve the traditional sales market and contribute to increase of competitiveness of Ukrainian producers in the world market.

It should be noted that despite the slowdown of the world economy trade turnover between Ukraine and Russia made up USD 45.5 bln in 2012.
