OREANDA-NEWS. Analyst team of Concorde Capital investment company presents the results of the fourth research of corporate governance standards and practices in Ukrainian public companies 2013 (Corporate Governance in Ukraine).

The aim of this research is to provide members of stock market with the instruments with which they can understand the corporate governance practices in Ukrainian companies more efficiently to make grounded investment decisions.

The project covered 111 companies operating in the territory of Ukraine, issuers of shares or bonds traded on the Ukrainian and international stock exchanges. Issuers of bonds for the first time were included in the study of corporate governance standards and by many criteria demonstrated higher results compared with the issuers of shares.

In the focus of new research, entitled as "Not gone with the wind", are companies that have preserved the quality standards of corporate governance. Of the 188 companies involved in all previous studies Concorde Capital, only six issuers have once again confirmed the high quality of corporate governance in the research of 2013: Astarta, JKX Oil & Gas, Galnaftogaz, Ferrexpo, MHP and Milkiland.

Absolute leaders in quality of corporate governance in 2013 research were: Astarta, Kernel, MHP, Megabank, Ukrprodukt, as well as debutants of rating - the issuers of Eurobonds: DTEK, Metinvest and the First Ukrainian International Bank.
