OREANDA-NEWS. The delegation of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO took part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) that was staged on June 20-22.

The plenary session that was dedicated to the private-state partnership in higher education sphere was one of the most important events at the forum. The participants have analyzed the current state of the university education in Russia and best Russian and international practices in the field of interaction between universities, business and government.

“The need in cooperation exists when there is a complex task or mega project that is impossible to realize only by university or business”, underlined during his speech Denis Konanchuk, Head of the Education Development Centre of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. “For example, the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO and UAC develop the concept of the Educational Aircraft Cluster. It is planned to invite the best Russian and international universities to create the strategic competencies of the corporation.”

Also Andrei Volkov, Dean of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO, took part in the session “Enhancing Russian corporate governance standards”, and Grigory Vygon, Head of the SKOLKOVO business school Energy Centre, participated in the panel discussion “Overcoming energy sector bottlenecks to gain supply stability”.

The SPIEF-2013, which consisted of 103 events, brought together over 7000 businessmen, experts, statesmen and media representatives.

During the forum the participants discussed the current state of the world economy and forecasted different ways of its development, singled out new emerging engines for economic growth, proposed decisions of reforming global financial system, etc.
