OREANDA-NEWS. June 27, 2013. MCC Group and China Chemical Engineering Group Corporation (CNCEC) signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement in Beijing. With the core of collaboration on steel structure projects, this cooperation is regarded as a salutary attempt and active exploration undertaken by these two central enterprises.

The attendees at the event include: Director Bai Yingzi of Reform Bureau of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC); Jin Kening, President & Legal Representative of CNCEC; Jing Tianliang, Shen Heting and Guo Wenqing of MCC Group; and relevant heads of Domestic Engineering Management Dept., General Office, Development Planning Dept. and Enterprise Management Dept. of MCC Group.

On behalf of SASAC’s Reform Bureau, Bai Yingzi extended congratulation to the inking of the cooperative agreement. She pointed out that, strengthening the resource integration and cooperation and promoting the optimal configuration of resources among central enterprises was an important measure for accelerating the transformation of economic growth and pushing forward the development of central enterprises, as well as an essential part for pro-growth of central enterprises. In this view, SASAC has been attaching great importance to this work, and has taken effective measures to support and promote for this purpose.

As the central enterprises under administration of SASAC, both MCC Group and CNCEC are super-large engineering contractors enjoying outstanding reputation in their respective industry, which are holding key positions in the national economy and bearing the common mission. CNCEC has won contracts on lots of coal chemical projects with brisk demands on steel structures. On the other hand, MCC Group is the largest domestic manufacturer of steel structure, with production bases in 18 provinces, cities and autonomous regions. Through strategic cooperation, both giants will surly achieve common sharing on resources and make their respective advantages complementary to each other.

She expected that, by adhering to the principles of “Strategic Cooperation and Common Development on Win-Win and Practical Bases”, both parties could speed up the mutual collaboration. Taking the opportunity of the signing ceremony, both parties should continuously explore the cooperative space, intensify efforts on in-depth cooperation, and realize common prosperity by joint efforts.

Guo Wenqing expressed warm welcome and gratitude to Bai Yingzi. In the speech delivered at the ceremony, Guo pointed out that, CNCEC and MCC Group enjoyed a long-lasting traditional friendship and cooperation, and both parties had worked together on various fields such as coal chemical industry, municipal works and processing of steel structure. In line with the SASAC’s requirements of “Creating benefits and promoting growth”, this kind of collaboration is deemed to be more valuable and promising.

According to Guo, both parties have a new starting point for steel structure business. MCC Group has acquired perfect competence on manufacturing and processing of steel structure. Due to the control of the state government on the production capacity of steel in recent years, MCC Group witnessed a declining of metallurgical construction projects and an increasing of non-steel works. In view of the relative surplus production capacity of steel structure, MCC Group is searching for new partners. At the mean time, along with the business growth, CNCEC is facing an increasing demand on steel structure. Through collaboration with MCC Group, CNCEC will not only cut down the engineering costs, but also improve the income and benefits with a promising prospect.

Guo emphasized that, MCC Group would consolidate the cooperative foundation in various aspects for sincere cooperation with CNCEC in a win-win manner. Thanks to the great support of SASAC and the joint endeavor of both parties, the strategic cooperation on steel structure business will witness a long-lasting growth.

On behalf of CNCEC, Jin Kening expressed welcome and gratitude to the leaders from SASAC’s Reform Bureau and MCC Group. He said, during the six decades of Chinese steel industry development process, MCC Group had established itself into a founder and cornerstone for the industrial growth, and made remarkable achievements in the other fields and the overseas market.

As an engineering company possessing of complete qualifications, all-inclusive functions and integrated business lines, CNCEC has made active contribution to the establishment of Chinese chemical industrial system and the development of national economy. The cooperation between both parties this time is featured by not only the common point for strategic development, but also the supporting point for complement each other's advantages. The signing of this agreement is the extension of mutual collaboration on specific projects, and a starting point for deepening win-win cooperation, so that the collaboration of mutual benefit between both parties will open a new chapter in the history.
