OREANDA-NEWS. July 18, 2013. Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov has held a teleconference meeting of the Steering Committee on the development of the draft concept of the second five-year plan of the program of forced industrial innovative development of Kazakhstan.

In accordance with the instruction of the Head of State, the concept should be developed until November 1, 2013. Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev reported on the main approaches, objectives and milestones in the development of the draft concept.

In particular, it is proposed to evaluate the main results of the forced industrial innovative development program for 2010-2014, analyze the existing instruments to support industry and global trends that affect its development.

Special attention is paid to the issues of developing scenarios of industrial-innovative development, recommendations for selecting priority industry sectors and clusters, analysis of best international practices of industrial policy.

In addition, it is planned to determine the main characteristics of the vision, goals and objectives of industrial innovative development in 2020, to develop mechanisms for managing the implementation of the program, a system of indicators.

Summarizing the discussion, Serik Akhmetov said that in the development of the draft concept "it is necessary to take into account the experience of previous years - the first stage of industrial innovative development, use international experience."

"We need to pay attention to the challenges that we face in the world economy. All these issues must be taken into account in the formation of the concept," Akhmetov added.
