OREANDA-NEWS. Anhui's energy consumption totaled 91.2 million tonnes of standard coal equivalent in the first three quarters, up 6.3 percent year-on-year. Its energy consumption per GDP dipped by 3.98 percent from a year earlier. The decrease was 0.38 percentage points higher than that of the same period last year, statistics from the National Energy Administration revealed.

It's worthy of note that the province's power consumption per GDP rose 1.62 percent year-on-year, compared with a 0.97 percent fall in the Jan-Sept period a year ago. Such a rise was blamed on a change to the energy consumption structure, robust growth in electricity-intensive industries and an increase in household power consumption.
