OREANDA-NEWS.  KAMAZ employees didn’t stand aside from a tragedy which struck Priamurye this summer and autumn: flood victims received 3.6 million roubles from them.

It should be recalled that since the end of July 2013, the South of the Russian Far East has been suffering from catastrophic floods resulting from heavy incessant rains.

Already at the beginning of September, a subsidiary of KAMAZ in Khabarovsk, OOO Khabarovsky Vostochno-regionalny avtotsentr KAMAZ, signed an agreement on supply of vehicles with the Far Eastern Department of Russia’s EMERCOM in Khabarovsk Krai. In all, 34 vehicles were delivered there for the purpose of remedying the consequences of the natural disaster.

At the same time, the workers of the enterprise initiated fund-raising on a voluntary basis. Altogether, they managed to raise 3.58 million roubles. An issue currently under discussion is which KAMAZ vehicles should be purchased for this money, which KAMAZ vehicles are most needed in the suffering regions.

This is not the first time the KAMAZ employees participate in such campaigns showing a striking example of sympathy. Thus, in 2012, after a tragedy in Krymsk, funds raised by the KAMAZ workers were spent on a new KAMAZ-65115 dump truck which was given to Cossack Vladimir Sokurov who had saved lives in Krymsk.
