OREANDA-NEWS. Ukrainian PrivatBank was recognized as the best bank 2014 in the annual ranking Worlds' Best Emerging Market Banks in Central & Eastern Europe of the American magazine Global Finance.

This year, ranking includes the most reliable and modern banks from 21 countries in Central & Eastern Europe selected by financial experts of the magazine. Criteria for choosing the winners included growth in assets, profitability, quality of client servicing, competitive pricing and innovative products. PrivatBank was acknowledged as the leading bank in Ukraine at all criteria.

The publisher of Global Finance Joseph Giarraputo noted that the magazine had been selecting top banking performers in the region for 20 years. The particular feature of this year ranking is that not only estimations of financiers, industry analysts and bankers were taken into account but also opinions of the corporate readership.

“Faced with slowing growth and volatile markets, these banks are star performers under increasingly challenging conditions”, - noticed Joseph Giarraputo. - “The banks that Global Finance is honoring may not be the largest or oldest, but they are the best at targeting their products and offerings to the specific markets they serve.”
