KAMAZ for Kazakhstan
OREANDA-NEWS. OJSC KAMAZ took part in the third international exhibition of weapons systems and military equipment KADEX 2014 which came to a close in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The exhibition of weapons systems and military equipment KADEX proved to be a perfect ground for demonstration of the latest achievements in the defense industry and exchange of experts’ views long ago. Among lots of participants, KAMAZ’s exposition was one of the largest attracting everybody’s attention at the exhibition. To meet the status and high rank of Kazakhstan’s exhibition, KAMAZ presented a wide range of army and dual-purpose vehicles both standing and running.
A KAMAZ-6350 (8x8), a high-sided KAMAZ-5350 and a special all-wheel drive truck KAMAZ-4350 (4x4) were shown in action. A new long-haul tractor KAMAZ M1842 (4x2) was presented standing. It is designed to efficiently solve problems with interurban and international vehicle transportation.
The military were greatly interested in a high-sided vehicle on a KAMAZ-43114 chassis, a crew bus and a command vehicle on a KAMAZ-43114 chassis. Two versions of the army Typhoon vehicle – KAMAZ-53949 and KAMAZ-63969, and also a dynamic simulator by Eidos were exhibited there.
Some exhibits for KAMAZ’s exposition were given by AO KAMAZ-Engineering, a subsidiary of the Russian vehicle producer in Kokshetau (Kazakhstan). Set up in June 2005, the nine-year-old enterprise has become the most successful JV of KAMAZ working abroad.
