OREANDA-NEWS. July 21, 2014. The Head of the Fiscal Control Department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia), Vladimir Mishelovin, had a working visit to the Republic of Mordovia.

The main issue of the visit of FAS representative was implementing the regional Competition Development Standard.

On 9th July, the Head of FAS Fiscal Control Department had a meeting with the staff members of FAS Office in the Republic of Mordovia (Mordovia OFAS Russia), where FAS officers discussed the prospects and directions of their work, including effect-oriented aspects of the activities undertaken by the regional antimonopoly body.

Later that day, Vladimir Mishelovin and the Head of Mordovia OFAS Russia, Yulia Popkova, had a meeting with the Prosecutor of the Republic of Mordovia, Valery Machinky, and his Deputy, Ravil Myaldzin. Representatives of the authorities considered the problems of organizing fiscal control activities and outlined the prospects of further cooperation between Mordovia OFAS Russia and the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Mordovia.

The key event of the two-day visit was the Round Table on 10th July that focused on enforcement of Competition Development Standard in the constituent territories of the Russian Federation. Round Table participants included Deputy Chairman of the Government – the Minister of the Republic of Mordovia on Economics, Vladimir Mazon; his First Deputy, Alexander Ivanov; the Head of the Office of the Chief Financial Inspector for the Republic of Mordovia, Nikolai Laryushkin; Business ombudswoman for the Republic of Mordovia, Yulia Ivanova; public ombudsman, a representative of “OPORA RUSSIA” Mordovia Republican Branch Pyotr Kolotilin; the Chairman of “Business-Incubator of the Republic of Mordovia” State Public Institution, Alexander Salmov as well as other representatives of non-government organizations, business-community and the authorities. In the course of a constructive dialogue participants discussed the questions related to drafting and implementing Road Maps, and joint efforts to determine priority markets for developing competition in the Republic of Mordovia.
