OREANDA-NEWS. August 28, 2014. The Supervisory Board of Bank Saint Petersburg elected Alexander Savelyev  to the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board. On the same date Mr. Savelyev resigned from the office of Chairman of the Bank's Management Board which he continuously held for 13 years.

By resolution of the Supervisory Board, the Management Board of Bank Saint Petersburg will now be chaired by Vladislav Guz  who has held various positions with the Bank for more than 10 years: since 2004 as Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, and since 2009 as First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board. He is also a member of the Bank's Supervisory Board. Mr. Guz was supervising BSPB's cooperation with its largest corporate customers and the Bank's Moscow-based business.

As part of the actions taken to improve the corporate governance system, the Bank's Supervisory Board passed the resolution reorganizing the Bank's Internal Control Service into Internal Audit Service. The functions of this Service are overall verification and assessment of efficiency of the Bank's internal control system as well as control over implementation of resolutions made by the Bank’s management bodies and corporate governance quality control.

In addition, by resolution of the Supervisory Board on October 1, 2014 the Bank will set up the Compliance Service intended to manage its regulatory risks.
