OREANDA-NEWS. On October 10, 2014, a delegation of Turkmenistan State Mercantile Exchange (TSME) visited the head office of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) in order to get an insight into BUCE's operation and determine the most promising areas of cooperation.

During the meeting with BUCE administration, TSME representatives received detailed information about the structure, major achievements and technical capabilities of the exchange as well as the mechanism of holding exchange auctions in all trading sections. The Turkmen side was particularly interested in BUCE's system of exchange logistics that enables buyers to collect purchased goods from any of 27 exchange warehouses operating in 11 countries across the globe. In addition, the participants of the meeting discussed the procedure or organizing and holding electronic auctions under procurement contracts and possible participation of Turkmen companies in such auctions.

Concluding the talks, the sides stressed the need to step up the implementation of the previously reached agreements and voiced confidence that the current visit of the Turkmen delegation will become a starting point for further mutually beneficial cooperation.
