OREANDA-NEWS. October 27, 2014. The representatives of AmCham took part in the launch event of the Investment Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic. The agency and AmCham signed a Memorandum of full scope and mutual cooperation.

The parties intend to fully contribute to sustainable economic development of the Kyrgyz Republic and expand its trade and economic ties. During the presentation, the agency director Almaz Sazbakov noted that the agency was created for recruitment, consulting, maintenance and support of investors.

At the event the Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Temir Sariev delivered a speech. Sariev said that the creation of the Agency will be an important institutional component of the investment climate in Kyrgyzstan. Investors, who come to the country, will know where they can go and get detailed qualified informational support on the legislative, institutional and legal aspects of starting business.

Investors will know where to get information on current business projects and potential partners among the local entrepreneurs and who can provide an administrative support for development of large-scale investment project at the national level. Sariev also expressed his gratitude to the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in the KR for their assistance in holding this event.
