OREANDA-NEWS. November 20, 2014. Social technologies forum in Norilsk and Monchegorsk titled “Partnership. Innovation Development” was first proposed by Norilsk Nickel and is now an important platform for communications and constructive dialogue between business community, regional authorities and local residents promoting development of intersectoral partnerships.

The forum primarily focuses on social initiatives spanning multiple topics, such as involvement of local communities in social projects, development of social entrepreneurship, and volunteering as a resource. Other areas of discussion include regional branding, development of urban environment, career guidance and early life technical creativity.

Forum’s workshops offer participants an opportunity to learn not only about how to develop projects, but furthermore how to get the necessary funding and position organizations appropriately. Previous projects too were presented at the social initiatives fair and photo exhibition.

Likewise, there is also a place for creativity at the forum. In Mastergrad section everyone can try out various arts and crafts, including bone carving, crafting toys, body-art etc.

Each participant can contribute to the map of changes in urban environment, all they need to do is to mark an interesting event, place or person on the map of the city or the region.

Of course no celebration can go without treats, tastings of arctic delicacies and frozen meat cutting competitions are held in the Taste of Arctic section. A photo shoot in traditional costumes is also offered to guests of the event as an added bonus.

It is planned that the forum will be attended by experts working for both federal and regional funds and organizations who will share their knowledge of contemporary social technologies.

Director of Norilsk Nickel Social Policy Department, Svetlana Ivchenko, said “we hope that this forum will become a highlight of local social life and help promote social partnership mentality in our regions of operation”.

We would like to invite everyone to visit our social technologies forum:
