OREANDA-NEWS. The crisis did not affected BMW plans for the further development of its dealer network in Russia. The company plans to open several new dealer centers this year. On 25 March, a new BMW service center was launched in Yekaterinburg, on 21 May - in Kazan. The next step is Vladivostok.

"The decision on the new BMW dealership is taken at least 2 years before the opening, - the head of BMW Group in Russia, Yelena Smirnova said in an interview. – If the project has been invested, it is more sensible commercially to open the center and start to recover investments instead of freeze the project.  

According to AUTOSTAT, BMW Group dealer network in Russia was developing steadily until 2012: in 2007, there were 40 centers, in 2008 - 44, in 2009 - 48, in 2010 - 55, in 2011 - 58, in 2012 - 62.  In 2013, the network decreased by 1 center, in 2014 - by 3.
