OREANDA-NEWS. Fund for financial support of agriculture JSC (Astana), whose bonds are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the following information statement:

"...Fund for financial support of agriculture for purposes of extending the scope and access to financial services for rural residents has for the first time approved an unsecured loan of KZT250 mln to microfinance organization "Bereke". The Fund disbursed the first tranche of KZT150 mln.

We remind you that in July this year the Fund's Board of Directors made changes to lending terms enabling unsecured lending of microfinance organizations. However, an MFO must be solvent and financially solid; it must not have overdue payment on taxes and other compulsory payments to the budget, towards banks and other financial institutions, positive credit history is a must, if available. In case of unsecured lending, there must also be at least 36 months of operation on the market, loan portfolio – at least KZT150 mln, there must be a credit rating according to the Rating assignment methodology effective within the Fund".
