OREANDA-NEWS  AvtoVAZ is able to maintain financial stability even in conditions of strong fluctuations in demand and currently has no plans for additional production shutdowns, and in May it will be a traditional corporate vacation, the company's press service reported.

Earlier on Friday, information appeared on Telegram channels that AvtoVAZ allegedly plans to suspend the plant in Tolyatti due to reduced sales and overstocked warehouses.

"The current state of AvtoVAZ makes it possible to maintain financial stability even with significant fluctuations in demand... Currently, we have no plans for additional production shutdowns, and in May, as every year, the company will go on a two-week corporate vacation, during which, as usual, modernization and routine maintenance of assembly lines and equipment will be carried out," the message says.

The press service clarified that the company fully fulfills its social obligations to the team and is working on all new projects. These are "Iskra, which is scheduled to start production on April 19, a crossover based on the Vesta platform, which we will show at the SPIEF in June, and subsequent models that we are keeping secret for now," AvtoVAZ explained.
