OREANDA-NEWS Chinese companies have become more active in offering to launch production in Russia. Sergey Mayorov, Chairman of the Board of the Business Association of Clusters of Russia, spoke about the growing interest in localization, as quoted by TASS.
On the sidelines of the forum "Sprouts: Russia and China are mutually beneficial cooperation," Mayorov noted that the volume of proposals for launching production facilities in the Russian Federation has been growing recently.
"It's not just their traditional 'Buy ours and sell here.' Nevertheless, there are more proposals for localization of production now. However, there are suspensive conditions that "come on, we will first reach such and such a level, ask for it, we will understand the market." But this is normal," he explained.
According to Mayorov, Russia is primarily interested in launching high-tech production.
IV International Forum "Sprouts: Russia and China — mutually beneficial cooperation" is taking place in Kazan on August 16-19. During this time, more than 50 business sessions will be held, which will be attended by more than 200 large companies from the capital of Tatarstan.
At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Sergey Katyrin, head of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), said that the most acute problem in the work of Russian business with China is settlements. Banks request additional documents, take longer to verify payments, and sometimes change requirements as they go along.
