OREANDA-NEWS  For the first time in Russia, Alrosa has extracted the rarest blue diamond of jewelry quality weighing 2.74 carats, now specialists are cutting it, after which they will present the finished diamond at the end of November, the company said.

Alrosa has extracted Russia's first natural blue diamond of jewelry quality. A unique crystal weighing 2.74 carats was extracted from the Nakyn kimberlite field in Yakutia. The find was the first recorded case of the discovery of such a diamond in Russian deposits. The company is currently completing the cutting of the precious crystal and plans to present the diamond at the end of November 2026," the company said.

11 highly qualified specialists of Alrosa are working on the creation of the diamond.
