An independent national survey has named Consumers Energy as a "Most Trusted Brand," ranking it fourth in the nation among providers of electricity and natural gas among residential customers.

Statoil and partners ENI and Petoro have made a small gas discovery in the Blåmann well, between the Snøhvit and Goliat fields in the Barents Sea. Recoverable volumes are estimated at 1.5-3 billion standard cubic metres (BCM), approximately 10-20 million barrels of oil equivalent (BOE).
