OREANDA-NEWS  Bench tests of aviation fuel from deep fryer have been completed in Russia. This is reported by TASS.

The specialists of Gazprom Neft company in St. Petersburg were engaged in the development of eco-friendly fuel, supplies were provided by the Deliciously —and-Dot fast food restaurant chain. The new type of fuel is designed to reduce the carbon footprint and environmental pollution. Biofuels are based on renewable raw materials: processed deep-frying oil and animal fats are used in production. The revolutionary type of fuel has passed all the test stages — from takeoff to landing. As Gazprom Neft recalled, the company was the first in the country to launch the production of "green" fuels for marine vessels and intends to continue decarbonizing the transport industry by developing sustainable fuels (SAF) for aviation.
