OREANDA-NEWS. A delegation of managers of power companies of the Republic of Kazakhstan paid a working visit to the Kostroma region. The purpose of the trip was to get acquainted with the work of the dispatching service of the Grid Control Centre (GCC) of IDGC of Centre – Kostromaenergo division and experience in creating there hardware and software for operational management of the regional power system based on the software and hardware complex "Systel".

The complex "Systel" is a set of hardware and software designed to automate the dispatch control at power facilities, transportation and utilities. The Kostroma branch of IDGC of Centre uses it for collection, processing, display and archiving of data on operation of the power grid of the region. Currently, all substations of 35-110 kV are in the system, as well as dozens of distribution points of City and Kostromsky Distribution Zones. Using the complex allows not only to monitor in real time the operation of power grid infrastructure, but also remotely control the operation of some substations. The innovative development program of the Kostroma branch until 2022 assumes installation of remote control at all 110/35 kV facilities in the region.

At the beginning of the meeting Acting Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre – Kostromaenergo division director Evgeny Smirnov told the guests on the example of the enterprise of the functioning of the domestic power grid complex. Representatives of Kazakhstan learned the management structure and the basic principles of operation of the Grid Control Centre of Kostromaenergo, the main stages of development of a communication system of the Kostroma power system and achievements of power engineers of the Kostroma branch of IDGC of Centre in the given area. And then they were able to ask their Russian counterparts their questions, which were related not only to the complex "Systel", but also the work of the branch as a whole. They were satisfied with the outcome of their visit.
