OREANDA-NEWS. SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev held a meeting with a delegation of Petronas, Malaysia, led by Senior Vice President of the company Mohamad Johari Dasri. Rovnag Abdullayev welcomed the guests and congratulated Mr. Dasri on his new appointment. He emphasized the useful bilateral relations and developing cooperation between SOCAR and Petronas.

Mohamad Johari Dasri expressed satisfaction with his company’s joining Shah Deniz-2 project and said this project had a great importance for his country. He said they have followed the achievements of Azerbaijan’s oil and gas industry with interest. SOCAR president informed the guests about the development of Shah Deniz project and said the consortium partners endeavored best efforts to complete work successfully and according to the schedule. Mr. Abdullayev informed about the progress of the Southern Gas Corridor and recent groundbreaking of Trans-Adriatic Pipeline, one of the segments of the corridor. He said these processes would allow the transportation of first gas volumes to Turkey in 2018.

The officials discussed other issues within the interest of both sides.
