FAS checks prices at 12 thousand gas stations

OREANDA-NEWS The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia analyzes the prices of about 12,000 gas stations for violations of antimonopoly legislation, the FAS told RIA Novosti.
"The service analyzes the prices of about 12,000 gas stations, which include both gas stations of vertically integrated companies and independent ones. In case of violations of the antimonopoly legislation, the agency takes response measures," the message says.
The FAS noted that the service had opened a case against Gazprom GNP Sales, as in May-June the company reduced the volume of gasoline sales on the stock exchange: Ai-92 - by 74%, Ai-95 – by 50%. Also, four antimonopoly cases are currently being considered in the territorial authorities for unjustified price increases at gas stations.
