Gazprom subsidiary prepares to restart Bosch plants

OREANDA-NEWS Gazprom's subsidiary, Gazprom Household Systems JSC, which is temporarily managed by the Russian legal entity Bosch, is preparing to restart refrigerator and washing machine factories, follows from an explanatory note to the financial report of BSH Household Appliances LLC posted on the FTS website.
"Starting from April 26, 2024, on the basis of Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 294 dated April 26, 2024, 100% of the shares in the authorized capital of BSH Household Appliances LLC were transferred to the temporary management of Gazprom Household Systems JSC. The external management plans to resume production as soon as possible. During 2024, significant changes have occurred, and there is also confidence that significant changes will occur in 2025, which will have beneficial consequences for BSH Household Appliances LLC, in the technical, market, economic or legal conditions in which the organization operates," the report says.
Preparatory work for the launch of production at the factories of refrigerators and washing machines has been underway since the end of 2024. As part of the preparation, the company deconservates production equipment, selects suppliers of raw materials, creates prototypes and tests test samples.
"During the production of refrigerators and washing machines, it is planned to use the company's production assets, which have been brought into proper condition, which will allow us to produce the planned level of products and reach the maximum level over time. The financial model includes a consistent increase in capacity each year, due to the limited growth of labor resources and the gradual adjustment of equipment, the use of a new range of raw materials," the document says.
The report recalled that since March 2022, the company has announced a technological break due to disruption of logistics chains related to sanctions against the Russian Federation. The last import delivery took place in December 2022. In 2023-2024, there were no supplies of goods, raw materials and supplies to Russia, the company only performed repair services, sales of spare parts, warehouse maintenance and storage services, property rental services, warehouse subletting services.
