OREANDA-NEWS Towards the middle of July, Russian oil exports reached 3.23 million barrels per day for an average of four weeks, which is a monthly maximum. This is reported by Bloomberg with reference to tanker traffic monitoring data.

In addition to a small increase in production, by 40 thousand barrels per day, this result was influenced by a significant reduction in the total load of refineries. In the first nine days of July, they processed about five million barrels per day, which is 300,000 less than a month earlier.

According to the agency's estimates, the decrease is due to planned repairs at a number of enterprises, which allowed freeing up more oil for export and compensating for the drop in previous weeks.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian government is going to impose a complete ban on gasoline exports for August and September (now large oil companies can supply gasoline abroad) if the situation with stock prices, which have reached highs since the beginning of the year, does not improve.

According to media reports, the relevant decision was made at a meeting of the headquarters on the situation on the domestic market of petroleum products with Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. Officially, this condition was not mentioned, but the official publicly instructed the companies to timely withdraw refineries from repairs and comply with planned targets.
