Price of Brent Crude on ICE Exchange in London Rose by More Than 3%

OREANDA-NEWS. The cost of futures for Brent crude oil for delivery in May on the ICE exchange in London is growing by 3.2%, to $ 53.55 per barrel, according to trading data at 14:22 Moscow time.
At the same time, at the peak of growth, the price of Brent reached $ 53.77 per barrel, which is 3.6% higher than the closing level of previous trading. The cost of the WTI oil futures is growing at 3.68% and is at around $ 48.47 per barrel. During the auction on February 28, the price of Brent oil fell below $ 49 per barrel, to a minimum since July 2017. WTI futures cost less than $ 45 per barrel, the lowest since January 2019.
Oil quotes reacted negatively to news about the continuing increase in the number of people infected with coronavirus and the emergence of new foci of the disease.
