OREANDA-NEWS. July 14, 2016. Canada’s airports provide essential transportation links across our wide and varied landscape.

In his first visit to Charlottetown, the Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport, discussed airport infrastructure needs for the province.

Minister Garneau was accompanied by the Honourable Lawrence MacAulay, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and Member of Parliament for Cardigan, Malpeque Member of Parliament Wayne Easter and Charlottetown Member of Parliament Sean Casey.

In attendance were Charlottetown Airport Chief Executive Officer Doug Newson, Charlottetown Mayor Clifford Lee and representatives from the Province of Prince Edward Island, the Charlottetown Airport Authority Board of Directors and the Atlantic Canada Airports Association.

Charlottetown Airport services daily arrivals and departures from major centers in Eastern Canada – as well as winter weekly service to sun destinations – greatly enhancing PEI tourism and economic development.
