OREANDA-NEWS Trading through marketplaces is expanding, and control is important in this area to protect consumers, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting with Dmitry Volvach, head of Rosaccreditation.

"E-commerce is expanding everywhere, and it is becoming more convenient for people to order and purchase goods and services through e-commerce and marketplaces. But, of course, control is very important here, including over this activity, in order to protect consumers, so that the quality of services provided related to electronic platforms meets the standards and norms that exist in our country," Mishustin said.

He asked Volvach to report on what measures are being taken to control goods that are sold through e-commerce.

"We must constantly monitor how the certification requirements are met, and that the goods our citizens buy are primarily of high quality and safe," Mishustin also added.
